Pistacia atlantica
Persian turpentine tree. A deciduous slow growing, very long-lived ornamental tree normally up to 7 metres in height (capable of reaching 10 -15 m in ideal conditions) with a dense shading crown in summer and striking orange Autumn colour. It may be used as a root stock for Pistacia vera, the commercially produced nut. The tree has a very long history of use in traditional medicine.
