Hedera algeriensis

Description

Algerian Ivy. Once established it is an easy ground cover or wall covering plant with large green glossy leaves. Suited to shady areas, but will manage in sunny conditions too. Hedera is often used to turn a chain-link fence into drought resistant hedge, it takes a few years but few other plants provide both the security of a fence and the privacy of a hedge. They can be cut to a width of less than 30 cm and will reach the same height as the original fence.
